TSP began in the early 1980’s as the service department of Wilson and Sons, Inc., an irrigation company in upstate South Carolina.  Customers came to rely on the dependable service provided by WSI and began to request additional pump products and expanded pump services.  Providing these products and services became a major focus of WSI.   

     In 1994 the service department of WSI was incorporated as Tri-State Pump & Controls, Inc.  TSP was born in the Carolinas, founded by Carolinas natives and is committed to providing quality service and products to the Carolinas golf market.  TSP’s commitment to service allowed for continued growth during the remainder of the 1990’s and in 1999 a new production and service facility was constructed.  This 16,000 square foot facility is located on 5.5 acres in Liberty, South Carolina and serves as the TSP company headquarters.  

     In 2003, as a result of their many service relationships, TSP was selected as the exclusive distributor for Rain Bird golf products in upstate South Carolina and North Carolina.   

     Today, in addition to manufacturing UL Listed package pump systems, TSP distributes Rain Bird golf and turf irrigation products along with a complete line of related products to the golf and landscape markets.   

     TSP opened its first branch facility in Greenville, South Carolina in 2006 and a second branch will open in Conway, South Carolina in the first quarter of 2007.  

     TSP believes that our success has come as a direct result of a commitment to service.  This commitment continues to set us apart from our competitors.
